Yeshua is the Hebrew name for the one better known as Jesus.
With the printing of the New Testament in Greek, the name Yeshua was not possible because there is no Y or Sh in the Greek alphabet.
Therefore, the name Jesus was created by substituting a J for the Y and an S for the Sh.
In my writings, I use the name Yeshua because the name Jesus has a stigma attached to it, and here’s why.
For two thousand years, Jesus has been horribly misrepresented by myriads of religious people who claim to know him, yet act nothing like him. They have brought disgrace to his name.
Maybe that is why Revelation records that when he returns, he has a new name written, that no man knows, but he himself.
I know that not all Christians misrepresent Christ, but if you call yourself a Christian, then you are guilty by association.
Your robes are stained by your religious peers whether you like it or not.
Ironically, Jesus was not even a religious leader, yet he was turned into the world’s largest religion.
Instead, Yeshua was a spiritual teacher, the chosen one, sent to teach us the true way. (Isaiah 42, Hebrew Bible, JPS version)
He openly addressed the error of religion through his teachings. Not only did he teach, but he demonstrated that an invisible force, a higher intelligence was working through him.
Because of his words and actions, a division was created. There were clearly two camps, the religious leaders and Yeshua.
One side represented God, and one side did not.
Yeshua let the religious leaders know that if they truly knew God, then they would believe his words that God had put on his heart to say, or at least they would believe the works that God was doing through him.
However, they rejected him because their religious beliefs had deep roots, and violence triumphed over peace.
Yeshua was the olive branch from God to the religious leaders. Although many prophets had been sent previously and had been mistreated and even killed, God sent Yeshua out of love in attempts to reason with them for the last time.
The brutal murder of Yeshua was clearly documented for the whole world to see that one camp is vile, while the other is pure.
It was a scene that should have produced a major spiritual awakening by revealing the reality—The enemy of God is religion.
Yet, it didn’t. It had the opposite effect.
The Messiah was turned into a human sacrificial religion by the same spirit that murdered him, and people got sucked up into it.
They were so busy worshipping Jesus like some kind of an idol, that they forgot all about his spiritual teachings.
Ironically, Buddha’s teachings have survived, and he lived several hundred years before Christ. His followers practice his teachings of love, compassion and benevolence today.
Given the fact that the Bible is the best selling book of all time, that Christ’s words are written in red, and that the words of the prophets are clearly communicated, there is absolutely no excuse.
Those who profess a faith in Christ should be the embodiment of his teachings, living examples of his love, compassion, and his true relationship with a living God.
Had they done so, there would be peace on earth today.
However, Christ’s message of good news and acts of compassion toward suffering humanity was buried and his message was changed by a zealous pharisee named Paul who never even sat under the teachings of Yeshua.
Instead of a message of hope and compassion, armies of militant Christians spread Paul’s gospel which comes across as hate filled words. They threaten people with hellfire and torment if they don’t accept the message of Christ as a blood sacrifice for the remission of their sins.
Newsflash, Christ didn’t die for anyone’s sins.
Furthermore, the people of the world have suffered enough because the ones who were supposed to bring the good news have failed their mission for two thousand years.
Now, do you think that a righteous God is going to toss all of humanity into a fiery inferno?
NO, I’ll tell you what He’s gonna do.
He’s gonna toss out the salt that has lost it’s savor, just like Yeshua taught.
The Christian message is not only inaccurate, but Christians are addressing the wrong audience.
Instead of beating up on the people of the world, Christians should be opposing the same enemy that Yeshua opposed, the ones who love the evil spirit of religion, yet claim to be of God.
It is the same spirit that has built the tower in which 2.3 billion people who call them selves followers of Christ are trapped in today.
Thankfully, there is a day coming of which the prophets have foretold, when there will be a showdown between these two spiritual forces, and the whole world will rejoice because goodness will finally be triumphant.
The fire of this coming battle was never intended for humans.
However, there are some who are loyal to the spirit of religion because of the benefits that they receive from it, and they will be burned in the crossfire.
It is a time spoken about by Yeshua called the harvest, when the wheat will be gathered into garners and the chaff, which is good for nothing, will be burned with unquenchable fire.
It has also been called the Day of the Lord by the prophets, a day when God will deliver His righteous judgement to the Prince of this world who murdered Yeshua, the Prince of Peace.
