I touched on the subject of belief in the post entitled, Christ and the Pharisee.
Nicodemus said, “Rabbi, we believe that you are a teacher from God,” and Christ called him out on it.
If Nicodemus really believed, then for one, he would not have come over after dark to talk to Yeshua.
In reality, Nicodemus didn’t want his fellow religious leaders knowing that he was associating with Christ.
Secondly, Nicodemus would have followed the instructions of the one whom he believed was a teacher from God.
Christ’s instructions were simple in that the spirit of God was available right there, not in their temple.
The believers were to make a public statement by doing the mikvah, which was a sign of washing or baptizing oneself clean from the blood sacrificial Mosaic religion.
And then, they were to seek the spiritual kingdom of God rather than the physical religious kingdom set up by man.
Nicodemus was not about to do the mikvah and walk away from his religion. He had achieved the status of ruler over the Jews. He had too much to lose.
So, his words of believing that Christ was a teacher from God were merely lip service.
How many Christians are doing that today?
Because of the words of Paul which offers salvation as a free gift and not by works lest you should boast, it has created a windfall of people who gather weekly, giving lip service to Jesus and having no true spiritual substance.
And, pastors are getting wealthy off these “believers,” so they have no motivation to change anything.
It is a sick body, and Isaiah wrote about it in chapter 1 in the King James Bible:
The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, bruises, and putrefying sores; they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
Christians, it is religion that caused the damage to this body.
Christ was the great physician who came to pour the wine and oil into the wound of his people, a putrid wound that had been caused by their blood sacrificial religion.
Unfortunately, Yeshua’s time was cut short and his message was eventually snuffed out, buried under all the Christian religious activity.
It is time for those who are called to wake up and seek first above anything, the kingdom of God.
Christ’s message is not any different today than it was in the first century.
The true believers who are wrapped up in their blood sacrificial religion of Christianity must come out in order to enter the spiritual kingdom of God.
By coming out, they are spiritually washing themselves clean, and in seeking the kingdom of God, they will find a real relationship with their Father, a relationship where they can hear His voice.
These are the people who comprise the church that Yeshua was talking about the day that Peter heard the voice of God.
In Matthew 16:15-18, Christ was asking his disciples who they thought that he was, and Peter proclaimed boldly that Yeshua was the Messiah, the son of the living God.
Christ replied, “flesh and blood has not revealed that to you, but my Father in heaven did.”
Christ’s response to Peter was letting him know that Peter was hearing God’s spiritual voice and that was the “rock” that Christ was going to build his church upon.
In sharing these blogs, I am simply doing what I believe God wants me to do. I am a teacher lifting up the ensign of the true Christ, and it benefits those who are seeking.
Because of all the spiritual work that we have accomplished over the last three decades, it makes it easier for the ones who will answer the call now.
You can reap where others have sown, just like Christ taught. You can show up to the vineyard in the final hours and get the same wage as ones who have been working all day.
I am simply doing what God has put on my heart and that is to put out a call to anyone who will answer.
It is going to take an army of true believers who completely shed the nasty message of the Christian religion, and take the wine and oil to the people of the Earth like Christ did in order to heal all the damage that religion has done to our planet.
These are the people that Yeshua talked about that the world will know them by their LOVE for one another.
They will be full of compassion just like Christ with unending fountains of living water to revive the people of the world who have been parched by religion.
How will they do it?
By hearing the voice of their Father, and doing what He tells them to do. They will be like Christ.
Yeshua told his disciples that they would not be above their master, but everyone who is perfect or complete shall be just like his master.
